MasterClass - University of Akureyri

A two-day MasterClass course that provides insight into how research and ideas can develop towards practical application and societal impact.

Auðna's MasterClass in scientific innovation will be held in collaboration with the University of Akureyri on March 3-4.


The course will review the unique nature of scientific innovation and the basic elements of value creation based on research results. Intellectual property rights and funding sources will be discussed, in addition to participants receiving training in presenting their ideas.


The course is suitable for PhD students, postdocs, staff and others who conduct research within the university and emphasises how research can develop towards application and increased societal benefit. The course will be taught on Tuesday, March 3, from 12-18 and Wednesday, March 4, from 9-16.

Please note that the course is free of charge for participants, but registration is required. A link to registration can be found here, but we ask those who register but can't attend to let us know by email (ingunn@ttoiceland.is) so that available spaces can be allocated.
